About us

OUR ROOTS

The Potters House Church Derby is affiliated with Christian Fellowship Ministries founded by Wayman Mitchell, senior pastor of The Potter’s House Church of Prescott, Arizona. Beginning in 1973, this body (originally First Foursquare Church) has mothered an entire fellowship of churches which go by various names. These include The Door, The Potter’s House, Victory Chapel, The Lighthouse, and Living Waters. The fellowship now includes more than 1,680 congregations worldwide.

OUR VISION

One unique facet of Christian Fellowship Ministry churches is the discipleship and training of couples within the local congregations for the purpose of planting churches.

OUR MISSION

Worship

Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever. Central to the life of the congregation is the vibrant, heartfelt, exuberant worship of Jesus Christ as Lord.

Fellowship

Acts 2:42 says: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship.” The life of the early church revolved around the faithful ministry of teaching and preaching God’s Word, and the bond of committed relationships that believers had with one another.

Evangelism

Mark 16:15 says: “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature’…” The Great Commission has never been rescinded. Taking the gospel outside the four walls of the church building is a defining ethic and emphasis of our ministry.

Discipleship

Matt 28:19-20 says: “Go make disciples of all the nations… teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…” It is also a process during which we challenge believers to mature and grow as followers of Christ seeking to do His will.
